Curious George
A man in a yellow hat catches a curious monkey in the jungle by baiting him with the hat itself, bags him and carries him aboard a ship bound for the big city. Left alone in an apartment, the monkey copies a telephone call he has watched and brings the fire brigade to the door, the first of the misunderstandings his curiosity sets running. The Reys carried the manuscript out of Paris by bicycle in June 1940, days ahead of the German army.
