Goldfinger
A British agent is put onto a bullion dealer who cheats at cards in Miami and smuggles gold out of England in the bodywork of a Rolls-Royce. Following him to Kentucky, he finds a private airfield, a squadron of women pilots and a plan involving the United States depository at Fort Knox. The third entry locked the series formula in place and recovered its budget in two weeks, starting the merchandising that followed.
