The Story of Ferdinand
A bull calf in Spain would rather sit under a cork tree and smell flowers than butt heads, and he grows enormous without once changing his mind. A bee stings him the day five men come out from Madrid to pick a fighter, and his roaring and stamping gets him carted off as the fiercest bull in the country. Published two months into the Spanish Civil War, it was banned in Franco's Spain and burned in Nazi Germany.
