A Fish Called Wanda

Charles Crichton, John Cleese · 1988 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

Four thieves take a London diamond haul and start informing on each other at once, which leaves the stones hidden and the only man who knows where in custody. His barrister, a stiff married Englishman, is worked on by the American woman in the gang while her jealous partner takes his temper out on a stammering animal lover. Cleese wrote it for the Ealing veteran who directed it.
