A Hard Day's Night

Richard Lester · 1964 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

Four musicians spend thirty-six hours running from screaming crowds and being managed between a train, a hotel room and a television studio, with one grandfather along who causes trouble in every location. Rehearsal, press conference and broadcast are each interrupted by somebody wandering off. Lester's handheld cameras, jump cuts and non-sequitur dialogue laid down the grammar the music video would inherit.
