Amour

Michael Haneke · 2012 CE · Film · French · Contemporary

Two retired music teachers in their eighties are at breakfast when the wife stops mid-sentence and does not come back for several minutes, and the stroke that follows takes one side of her body. Her husband promises she will not go back to hospital and keeps her in the apartment, which the film almost never leaves. Haneke's coldest instrument turned on tenderness.
