Introduction to Nursing Care

Norio Mobu · 2004 CE · Short Story · Japanese · Contemporary

A 29-year-old unemployed man with bleached hair looks after his bedridden grandmother at home alongside his mother, while drifting through drugs and idleness. His account is written in a rap-like prose that sets the rhythm of care and boredom. Drawn from the author's own experience of home care, it won the Akutagawa Prize.
