Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
A year on, the Brooklyn Spider-Man is losing the argument at home about a secret he cannot explain when a portal-hopping visitor pulls him into a society of several hundred Spider-People policing the multiverse. Their leader holds that every Spider-Man's story has to pass through the same fixed losses or the world it belongs to comes apart, and says so to the one recruit least willing to accept it. Six visual idioms were built for it, one per universe with its own crew, extending the first film's break with a single house style.
