Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman · 2018 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A Brooklyn teenager packed off to a boarding school he never wanted is bitten by a spider in a disused subway tunnel, days before a crime boss switches on a particle collider under the city. The machine drags in versions of Spider-Man from neighbouring dimensions, among them a worn-out one who has to be talked into training him. Sony's film took the animated feature Oscar, and its hand-worked comics idiom of halftone dots, misregistered printing and held frames reset what a studio animated feature was expected to look like.
