Star Wars: A New Hope

George Lucas · 1977 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A farm boy on a desert planet buys two secondhand droids, one of them carrying stolen plans and a plea for help from a captured princess. He falls in with a desert hermit, a smuggler and a rebellion facing an empire that has just finished a moon-sized weapon. The monomyth assembled deliberately from Campbell's blueprint and Kurosawa's frames.
