Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

Richard Marquand · 1983 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A rescue at a desert crime lord's palace opens the last chapter, after which the rebels stage a ground raid on a forest moon whose shield generator protects a second, unfinished battle station. The Emperor has planned for every part of it and wants the boy for himself. Lucas closed the trilogy on teddy bears and a merchandising apparatus that has governed studio franchise thinking ever since.
