Airplane!

Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, Jerry Zucker · 1980 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A traumatised former fighter pilot boards a flight to Los Angeles to talk his stewardess girlfriend out of leaving him, and the fish course puts the entire cockpit crew on the cabin floor. Ground control brings in the commanding officer who hates him, and a doctor on board keeps explaining the obvious. The Zuckers and Abrahams restaged a 1957 disaster picture as deadpan parody at a gag rate nobody has matched.
