Clerks

Kevin Smith · 1994 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

Called in on his day off, a New Jersey convenience-store clerk spends one shift arguing with customers, his girlfriend, his ex, and the video-store worker next door, who has views on the contractors killed aboard the second Death Star. Two dealers loiter outside. Shot in black and white for twenty-seven thousand dollars in the store where Smith worked nights, it proved a no-budget feature could reach national release.
