Sexual Perversity in Chicago

David Mamet · 1974 CE · Play · Modern / American · Contemporary

Two men in a Chicago singles bar talk about women in a stream of boasting and invention, and the younger of them starts seeing an illustrator who has just taken a flatmate with opinions of her own. Thirty-odd short scenes cut between the affair and the two friendships pulling at it from either side. An early success that made Mamet's ear for how men talk to each other the whole point of the writing.
