Gremlins

Joe Dante · 1984 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

An inventor brings his son a small creature out of a Chinatown basement with three conditions attached: keep it from light, keep it from water, and never feed it after midnight. It is a snowbound Christmas in a small town, the rules are broken in order, and what hatches proves to have a talent for machinery and malice. Together with that summer's Indiana Jones sequel it embarrassed the ratings board into creating PG-13.
