Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
A contest between three wizarding schools is revived at the castle after a century, an age line is drawn to keep the younger pupils out, and the cup that picks the champions gives up a fourth name. Bound by a contract he never signed to face tasks set for students three years older, the boy finds the school turning on him for entering. The fourth volume is the only one of the seven to take a Hugo Award.
