The Moon and the Girl
Newlyweds Hans, a bank employee, and Ina move into a cramped attic flat near Baseler Platz in the railway district of Frankfurt, and over one lunar month he finds company in the neighbourhood's bars and neighbours while she grows isolated. A brief affair and a misplaced ring set misunderstandings in motion. Mosebach's Frankfurt novel was shortlisted for the Deutscher Buchpreis.
