Three Men in a Boat

Jerome K. Jerome · 1889 CE · Novel · English · Victorian

Three London friends, each convinced he is overworked and ill, decide on a fortnight rowing up the Thames from Kingston to Oxford with a fox terrier named Montmorency. The voyage proceeds mostly by mishap and digression: tinned pineapple with no opener, tow-lines, weather forecasts, and other people's boats. The comic travelogue perfected.
