Yi Yi

Edward Yang · 2000 CE · Film · Chinese · Contemporary

NJ, a partner in a failing Taipei software firm, runs into the woman he did not marry on the day his brother-in-law weds and his mother-in-law falls into a coma. Over the following months his teenage daughter has a first romance next door, his wife leaves for a mountain retreat, and his eight-year-old son photographs the backs of people's heads to show them what they cannot see. Three ages of one family, each in a different film that happens to share an apartment.
