A Christmas Story

Bob Clark · 1983 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

An Indiana boy in the 1940s wants a Red Ryder air rifle for Christmas and is told by every adult he lobbies that he will shoot his eye out. His father meanwhile fights the furnace, wins a lamp shaped like a leg, and a schoolyard dare freezes a tongue to a flagpole. It opened modestly in December and has since become an unavoidable annual broadcast across North America.
