Bilbao-New York-Bilbao
Kirmen Uribe · 2008 CE · Novel · Basque · Contemporary
On a flight from Bilbao to New York a writer reconstructs the lives of three generations of Basque fishermen in his family, piecing them together from logbooks, letters and talk. The journey in the air is crossed with the sea voyages of those he is remembering. A Basque-language book that won Spain's Premio Nacional de Narrativa in 2009.
