Ulysses
On 16 June 1904 an advertising canvasser named Leopold Bloom walks Dublin from a funeral to a newspaper office to a maternity hospital, staying away from the house where his wife has an appointment at four. His path keeps crossing that of Stephen Dedalus, a young teacher in mourning who cannot write. One ordinary Dublin day mapped onto the Odyssey; the epic relocated inside a wandering mind.
