The View from Castle Rock

Alice Munro · 2006 CE · Short Story · Modern / American · Contemporary

The first half follows Munro's Laidlaw ancestors from the Ettrick valley in Scotland across the Atlantic to Ontario in the nineteenth century. The second turns to her own childhood and adulthood in the same country. Munro described it as stories that are not quite fiction, and it is her most openly personal book.
