Waiting for Godot
Two tramps meet by a tree on a country road and pass the time until Godot arrives, though neither is sure what he promised or whether this is the agreed day. A landowner and his roped servant come through twice, and a boy brings word that Godot will not come today but surely tomorrow. Meaning deferred until the deferral becomes the subject.
