Endgame
Samuel Beckett · 1957 CE · Play · English · Contemporary
In a bare room with two high windows a blind man in a chair orders his servant about, and his legless parents put their heads out of two ash bins to be fed. Outside, by every report brought back to the windows, there is nothing left. Beckett thought it harder and bleaker than Godot; Hamm borrows Prospero's line about revels ended.
