Black Coal, Thin Ice
Body parts turn up at coal plants across a northern province in 1999, a raid goes wrong and a detective loses his job and his marriage; five years on, working security and drinking, he learns of fresh remains and starts watching the laundry worker who was widow to the first. The neon and the ice rink do the work the rain does in older films of this kind. It took the Golden Bear and the best actor prize together.
