Celebration

Harold Pinter · 2000 CE · Play · English · Contemporary

At two tables in an expensive London restaurant, two couples of brash, wealthy diners celebrate an anniversary while a waiter hovers and wanders into reveries that do not belong to his station. Menace and vulgarity share the same cheerful register. Pinter's last full-length stage play, first staged at the Almeida in 2000.
