Die Hard

John McTiernan · 1988 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A New York detective flies out to a Christmas party at his estranged wife's Los Angeles office tower, and while he is barefoot in a washroom twelve armed men take the building and everyone at the party. He is the one man they have not counted, and the only voice he can raise is a patrol sergeant on a police radio outside. McTiernan's confined thriller rebuilt the American action picture around an ordinary man who bleeds.
