Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Michel Gondry · 2004 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A withdrawn man skips work on a February morning, rides the train out to Montauk and meets a woman with orange hair who talks to him the whole way back. Learning that she has paid a clinic to erase him, he books the same procedure, and during the night two technicians spend inside his head he starts hiding her in memories they have no map for. Kaufman's script and Gondry's in-camera effects made the decade's most imitated romance.
