Before Sunset

Richard Linklater · 2004 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

Nine years after a night in Vienna, an American novelist is at the end of a Paris book tour when the French woman he never saw again walks into the reading. They have until his flight, and they spend it in a café, along the quays and up to her apartment, correcting each other's account of what happened and what did not. Linklater shoots in long takes that run the length of the conversation, in something close to real time.
