How to Train Your Dragon

Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders · 2010 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

On a Viking island where killing a dragon is the whole measure of a man, the chief's undersized son brings down the rarest and most feared of them with a homemade bolas and cannot make himself finish the job. Nursing the injured animal in a cove while excelling, inexplicably, in the village's dragon-fighting class, he learns things about the creatures that the tribe's entire way of life depends on denying. Loosely adapted from Cressida Cowell's 2003 children's novel, which this archive does not hold, it became the studio's most durable property outside comedy.
