Kind Hearts and Coronets

Robert Hamer · 1949 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

Louis Mazzini, son of a duke's daughter cut off for marrying an Italian tenor, writes his memoirs in a condemned cell on the eve of his execution. Eight D'Ascoynes stand between him and the dukedom, and he removes them by drowning, explosion, poison and an arrow while managing two women who each know too much. Alec Guinness played all eight victims, and Ealing's murderous politeness has not been equalled since.
