Pieta
Kim Ki-duk · 2012 CE · Film · Korean · Contemporary
A debt collector in a district of small metal workshops maims borrowers for the insurance and lives alone without a memory of family, until a woman appears at his door claiming to be the mother who abandoned him and refuses to leave. He tests her with cruelties she absorbs. The title is the sculpture, and the film means it.
