Rapture
A sequence of fifty-two poems runs a love affair from its first heat through doubt and parting, one poem for each week of a year. The speaker addresses the beloved directly, in compressed lyric forms and sometimes in the rhythm of song. One of the more book-shaped verse collections of its decade, because the love story has a beginning and an end.
