In 1982, with Argentina at war over the Malvinas, a young prefect at the elite Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires is charged with enforcing discipline among the pupils and watching them in the corridors and toilets. Her zeal for order and her own repressed desire run together under the dictatorship. Published in Spanish as Ciencias morales, it won the Premio Herralde and appeared in English in 2012.
