Song of Malaya
A prostitute addresses her customers, her clergy, her sisters in the trade and the schoolboy son who is ashamed of her, and finds the hypocrisy of respectable men more interesting than her own disgrace. She reminds soldiers, priests and married householders whose door they knocked on last night. The second of the two songs p'Bitek issued in one volume, and the sharpest of his monologues against respectable opinion.
