The Mitchells vs. the Machines

Mike Rianda · 2021 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

An aspiring filmmaker's outdoorsy father cancels her flight to film school and insists on driving the whole family across the country instead, hours before a discarded phone assistant turns every consumer device against its owner. The least functional family on the continent is left as the only one not rounded up. Rianda's first feature was made for Sony Pictures Animation, sold on to Netflix when cinemas closed, and nominated for the animated feature Oscar.
