The Queen's Flight

Tomás Eloy Martínez · 2002 CE · Novel · Latin American · Contemporary

Camargo, the director of a leading Buenos Aires newspaper, becomes consumed by Reina Remis, a young journalist on his staff. The novel moves between the press, the political corruption of a country coming apart, and the private fixation that bends both. It followed Martínez's Santa Evita, which is not held, and won the Premio Alfaguara.
