The Royal Tenenbaums

Wes Anderson · 2001 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A father who walked out on three prodigy children decades ago comes back to the house on Archer Avenue claiming a terminal diagnosis, arriving as their mother considers an accountant's proposal. The grown children return too: a retired tennis champion, a playwright who has stopped writing, a financier raising two sons in tracksuits. Anderson's third feature fixed the chaptered, symmetrical manner he has worked in since.
