Four stories about conscripts and the men they become: a mild family man doing his errands and his shift, a soldier who cannot go through with it, a third on leave to propose, a fourth living in the desert with a secret his visiting niece does not know. What the job is only becomes clear at the end of the first part. Rasoulof was under a filming ban and directed it in fragments.
