Three White Coffins
Antonio Ungar · 2010 CE · Novel · Latin American · Contemporary
An obese nobody takes the place of an assassinated opposition leader in Miranda, an invented republic that stands for Colombia in the Uribe years. The impersonation draws him into the machinery of the state he is meant to oppose. It won the Herralde Prize and has not been translated into English.
