Winter Sleep
A retired actor runs a cave hotel in Cappadocia, writes a column on religion and morals for the local paper, and lets his manager collect rent from tenants he prefers not to meet; his young wife and his divorced sister live with him and have stopped pretending to be persuaded by him. A tenant's boy throws a stone at the car, and the winter closes in. Three hours of talk in which everyone is articulate and nobody is right.
