Babel Tower
Frederica walks out of a marriage in a Herefordshire country house with her small son and a cut face, and finds work in London reading manuscripts as the sixties get going. One of them is a Sadean fable about a company that withdraws to a mountain castle to found a society without constraint; its publication brings an obscenity prosecution that runs alongside her own suit for custody. The third panel of the quartet, arranged so that the two courtrooms cross-examine each other.
