Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Two amiable San Dimas teenagers whose band cannot play are failing history, and a traveller from a future founded on their music lends them a time-travelling phone box so they can pass the oral report. They collect Napoleon, Billy the Kid, Socrates, Freud and Joan of Arc and park the lot in a shopping mall. Herek's cheerfully stupid comedy has outlasted most of the decade's teen pictures.
