Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

A young white woman brings home to San Francisco a Black doctor she met ten days earlier in Hawaii, and expects her liberal newspaper-publisher parents to bless the engagement by dinner. His own parents fly up from Los Angeles and prove no more willing than hers. Released months after the Supreme Court struck down state bans on interracial marriage, it was Spencer Tracy's last film, finished days before his death.
