Late Nights on Air
Elizabeth Hay · 2007 CE · Novel · Modern / American · Contemporary
In 1975 the staff of a small radio station in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, fall in and out of love as a plan to run a pipeline through the Mackenzie Valley divides the town. An expedition by canoe to the barren lands, drawn from the earlier journey of the explorer John Hornby, becomes a reckoning for several of them. It won the Giller Prize.
