Let the Right One In
A twelve-year-old in a Stockholm housing estate practises knife threats against the boys who hold him under at the pool, and one night a girl his age moves in next door with an older man carrying a canister and rope. She appears only after dark, tells him they cannot be friends, and the man's work out in the woods starts going wrong. Alfredson gave the vampire story back to the tower block, the snow and a childhood friendship.
