Plop

Rafael Pinedo · 2002 CE · Novel · Latin American · Contemporary

A boy known as Plop is born into a nomad band living on the refuse of a ruined civilisation, where food is stolen and hierarchy is kept by violence. He learns the tribe's cruel rules and climbs them. A short, bare novel, it won the Casa de las Americas prize and gained a cult following in Argentina after the author's death in 2006.
