Poor Things

Yorgos Lanthimos · 2023 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

A Victorian surgeon whose own face was rebuilt by his father's experiments revives a drowned pregnant woman by giving her the brain of her unborn child, and the result learns to speak, walk and want at enormous speed. She leaves with a lawyer for Lisbon and Alexandria and a Paris brothel, reading political philosophy on the way. From Alasdair Gray's novel, which this archive does not hold.
