Robot Dreams
A solitary dog in a Manhattan of animals mail-orders a robot companion, and the two walk the city through the summer of 1985 until rust strands the robot on a beach closed until spring. Pablo Berger tells it without a line of dialogue, from Sara Varon's graphic novel, a medium this archive does not catalogue. It won the European Film Award and the Goya for animated feature and was nominated for the Academy Award in the same category.
